ECOLOGY PROGRAM

The Ecology Program is a special complex of the organization directed towards development of the ecological awareness of the citizens for cleaner and healthier environment, as well as towards realization of activities and actions through which various aspects of the environment will be improved. In the frame of this program there are several priorities:

a.      Bregalnica - ecologically polluted and unclean river

b.      Reduction of the waste in the city

c.      Raising of the ecological awareness among citizens

d.      Civic actions and initiatives for reduction of the pollution

e.       Service for better environment and layout of the city

f.        Healthy food

Regarding given priorities Permaculture and Peacebuilding Centre - Stip, Ecology Program will work on achievement of various objectives through various working methods.

Bregalnica - ecologically polluted and unclean river

Regarding the river Bregalnica PPC Stip will work on the following objectives:

-         to reduce waste water that goes into the river

-         to reduce the pollution of the river made by the citizens

-         to establish cooperation with other organizations for joint solution of the problem with polluted water

Reduction of the waste in the city

-         to achieve permanent reduction of the waste in the city

-         to realize activities for waste selection

-         to realize activities and campaigns for waste recycling

-         to realize activities and campaigns for solution of the problem with waste collection and storage

Raising of the ecological awareness among citizens

-         to provide advice for the citizens regarding ecology issues

-         to realize campaigns for highlighting the problems with pollution of the city

-         to realize campaigns about the importance of healthy and clean environment

-         to realize activities that will point out the fact that each citizen is responsible and can contribute to cleaner environment

Civic actions and initiatives for reduction of the pollution

PPC Stip will support and initiate civic actions and activities in direction of reduction of the pollution in the city and wider, as well as for improvement of the overall ecological situation. By this initiatives will be supported for improvement of the quality and cleanness of the water, ear and soil, the cleanness of the living environment, improvement of the quality of the food and conditions for healthy life, improvement of the conditions for work, etc.

Service for better environment and layout of the city

PPC Stip, in the frame of its activities can establish, develop and sustain non-profitable and profitable services for improvement of the environment, which includes:

-         to undertake collection and selection of the waste

-         waste recycling

-         maintenance of the green sites of the city

-         other services according to the citizens' needs and connected with ecology and healthy living environment identified by PPC Stip

Healthy food

As one of the basic aspects of life of the citizens, their health condition and conditions for healthy life should constantly be improved. Regarding this PPC will strive to achieve the following objectives:

-         to promote ways of producing healthy food

-         to realize promotional activities for the consumers regarding healthy food

-         to realize activities for advocating and lobbying the state officials for introduction of methods for healthy food production

-         to analyze new possibilities for healthy food production

-         to promote positive experiences and practices for healthy food
