Within the ecology programme the Centre for Permaculture and Peacebuilding applied with a project proposal Together for Cleaner Environment on the call for proposals announced by the Regional Ecology Centre for Central and Eastern Europe. This call was part of the project Implementation of the Århus Convention in Republic of Macedonia Strategy Building, with a title Improvement of the Public Participation Practices. The Convention is ratified by 9 countries by now, among which is the Republic of Macedonia The project Together for Cleaner Environment is about introducing the public with the Århus Convention and practice of the right for the public to be included in the process of decisions making regarding ecology issues. More precisely, the project realization envisages preparation of an Action Plan for management of the waste in the Stip municipality, for which local authorities relevant for this issue will be included, of course taking into consideration the comments, opinions and suggestions of the citizens. This project was approved and will be realized in a period of 6 months starting from February 2006.
