WASTE MANAGEMENT ACTION
PLAN
FOR STIP MUNICIPALITY
:: DRAFT VERSION ::

Vision
2010 the problem with the hard waste in Stip will be only dark
and learning past. Citizens have high ecological consciousness and they
less and less tolerate the pollution of the environment. Very efficient
inspector’s team and mandate fines make those citizens with lower
consciousness to start respecting the rules for the hard waste in the
community.
In the night the waste from each community is taken to the
regional sanitary depot. There are not any more illegal and full-up
garbage bins in the urban communities. Plans are planed for waste
management in the villages. The waste collection at the pilot community
shows high results and started to be implementing in other communities.
Only the waste with economical justification is taken separately.
The Local Self Government has developed solid informational
system for the environment and cooperates with the Governmental
Institutions, Public Utility Company, the Business Sector and the
citizens. Therefore this helps in the development of more economic
regional depot of all waste types. Pressured by the customers, the
companies, industrial sector, and the service sector has to implement
system of ecological management. For the export oriented companies that’s
a usual practice already.
The Public Utility Company is very well structured and
organized, and the professional personnel are constantly improving the
waste management system. The Public Utility Company has good logistic for
waste collecting, good cooperation with the customers, 95% of the services
are paid and good political understanding in the local environment.
Solving this problem with the hard waste gives the citizens’ one step
ahead in realization of healthy life environment, and encourage the
citizens that they themselves can create their own life, they start
participating in solving other problems in the community as well.
